The National Library of Wales offers a wide range of subscribed electronic resources, ranging from scholarly journals to encyclopaedias and newspapers. In conjunction withVale of Glamorgan Council , the National Library of Wales would like to offer you the opportunity to register for access to our electronic resources by completing the form below.

You can use this form to register for an NLW online account that will:

As this service is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, we regret that if you don't have a home address in Wales you won't be able to register for access to all the Library's electronic resources.

If you are an associate member of a College or University please tick the box below to agree not to use your NLW account details to access the following resources:

  • Daily Mail Historical Archive, 1896-2004
  • Nineteenth Century Collections Online – British Politics
  • The Illustrated London News Historical Archive
  • The Sunday Times Digital Archive
  • The Telegraph Historical Archive, 1855-2000

*** Please note that in order to gain access to the Reading Rooms you will need to upgrade your account to a Full NLW Readers Ticket. In order to do this, you will need to bring with you 2 proofs of identity, one of them showing your current address.
